When you use MealBot, we collect:

• WhatsApp phone number — to deliver your meal plans
• Family preferences — family name, size, food type, cuisine preferences, disliked foods, health goals, cooking style
• Feedback responses — whether your family cooked or skipped a suggested meal
• Message content — messages you send to MealBot to enable the service

We do not collect payment information, passwords, or any financial data.

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

• Generate personalised daily meal plans for your family
• Send meal plans, grocery lists and weekly summaries via WhatsApp
• Improve meal suggestions based on your family's feedback
• Provide weekend drink pairing suggestions when opted in

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to third parties.

MealBot uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Meta WhatsApp Business API — to send and receive WhatsApp messages
• Google Gemini API — to generate meal plan content using AI
• Cloud hosting provider — to host the application and store data

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews. We retain your family profile and meal history for as long as you use the service.
